What Makes Our Events Different?
Networking events in the Washington DC area are a dime a dozen and are completely watered down. Networking @ The Crossroads Events are different in 4 ways. This is how we add value to other entrepreneurs.
First, our attendees are entrepreneurs. If your business is dealing with other entrepreneurs, then there is no point in talking to an employed sales executive who can’t understand what you are going through. These are not your typical sit down and listen to boring speaker events. Entrepreneurs attend our events to mingle, socialize, and network with other like-minded entrepreneurs.
A few other reasons that make us special are;
- Networking ambassadors are present. We have ambassadors on hand to welcome and meet/greet you…especially the newbies. We know how hard it is to walk into a room and not know anyone. The first thing most people do is walk over to the food table and grab a drink just so they don’t look alone. We’ve been there and done that. Our ambassadors are hand picked and trained to facilitate effective networking amongst the crowd.
- We care about your business. No seriously, we do. When you register online, there is a section that allows you to fill out what who your ideal business contact is. We compile this answer along with your name, title, company, industry, into an excel spreadsheet that is then distributed to all ambassadors. We look over the information two days before the event. So when people come in, ambassadors have your info on hand and know if they should be able to refer you to another attendee at the event. That’s why you came to our events, right? To make important business contacts.
- You know who is coming. The toughest part to attending a networking event is you can’t meet everyone who shows up. That’s why all of our attendees receive an excel spreadsheet of other attendees along with their business profile as mentioned in #2. This allows you to do your homework before the event and more importantly catch up with the people that you missed after the event. It’s almost as if you never left the event at all!
