Meet Mr. McDreamy er McMeety

Rick DempseyRick DasslerAside from good looks, what do both of these gentleman have in common? Well, not much really.

We all know the guy on the left. But not too many of us know the guy on the right. That’s Rick Dassler. Aside from running heading his own team at Family Lender, Rick is also one of our networking ambassadors. Rick has a new name now–Mr. McMeety.

Part of the culture that we want to build here at The Crossroads is where people know each other and feel comfortable doing business with each other. Society is full of cliques. Some networking groups tend to be that way too. People will attend the same event over and over again and tend to hang out with the same people over and over again.

We want to avoid that here. Our ambassadors and volunteers are here to make sure that doesn’t happen. We know that any event will draw new people to our group. We know you come to meet other business professionals and have some great conversations. But we also know that some of you aren’t necessarily completely skilled when it comes to networking and working a room. We make sure our ambassadors are around to help you feel welcomed and meet others.

Rick’s been doing a great job of that. I tend to see alot of things at an event. I know who’s the shy person. I know who is the gregarious individual. I know who lights up the room when he walks in. I see a bit of everything during the course of an event. And I see that Rick tries hard to make others feel welcomed, introduce them to others, and help them meet and mingle.

And for that gesture of networking goodwill, we thank him and give him the title of Mr. McMeety.

If Rick or any of our volunteers or ambassadors were of help to you, let them know.

Dean <– or McDeany???
