crossroadsblog-badge.jpgWe’re proud to announce that we will be hiring on writers to contribute content to our, “@ The Crossroads Blog”.

The goal of @ The Crossroads is to become the go-to online hub of information for local area entrepreneurs. We aim to provide informative content that will help local area entrepreneurs continue to succeed.

@ The Crossroads Blog will have various writers that will write on specific topics of entrepreneurship. Irregardless of the topic, there should be a strong focus towards recent trends and development towards each area. We will be covering topics such as;

  1. Small business life
  2. Startup business issues,
  3. Venture capital, financing, angel investing,
  4. Sales and business development,
  5. Marketing strategies,
  6. Financial management,
  7. Government contracting,
  8. Business networking best practices,
  9. Business tools, technologies, and productivity,
  10. Local business events occurring in the Washington DC area.

I have about 50 different business blogs that I subscribe to. There is no doubt in my mind that blogs have helped me become a better and more knowledgable entrepreneur in every regards. I don’t know where my business would be without blogs and social media. The Washington DC entrepreneurial market is ripe for this concept as I’ve seen similar concepts succeed in other markets.

Life at the Crossroads can be an interesting journey each and everyday. @ The Crossroads Blog is meant to enlighten and further the professional development of local area entrepreneurs.

This is what I do everyday at Sachi Studio- develop websites and help business owners use social media to improve their bottom line. And it’s a concept that I am dying to implement for The Crossroads Club. For a complete summary of the benefits for our writers, requirements, and vision, please download the 2 page pdf document here. Contact information is provided in the pdf document as well. But here it is again, info[at]crossroadsclub.net

Before emailing us, please read the document as it will answer most of your questions.

    Hi Dean,

I read about the idea on my XING mail box. Actually I am getting my business started in Australia, which is everywhere else but Washington DC. If you still think that I may contribute to your @ The Crossroads Blog, please reply.

Please don’t use my reply for spam mail.

    Kind regards

    Volker

    Hi dean,
i received this email in my inbox as well. I think this is a super idea and might be able to contribute, even if I may not be so great at writing for the blog. However, my business and I are situated in Zurich, Switzerland. If that is still okay, then do contact me.

    Thanks and all the best.

    Cheers

    Hi Dean,

I have something like this that I have started up on a small scale in London, UK, as a result of discovering pitfalls with tax legislation (known as IR35) if you are a single person business and in particular a lone contractor plying their hard-earned knowledge to big corporates. Obviously managing the tax angle is not relevant if you are based in Washington DC but if you are looking to come this way and start your own single person operated business then it pays to know about this - and know someone who can help you (like me, for instance!!). Anyway, good on you for starting this and it would be good to compare synergies across The Pond at some stage and see what there is in common for helping entrepreneurs - or simply business people with great ideas seeking support - no matter where they come from.

    All the Best,

    Good Morning Dean,

I live in the DC area and my business is home-based. I am willing to write for the area of start-up business issues. When I began my business in 2004 there were many issues! I still have many issues LOL! It is not easy but it is not hard. I would be happy to participate in writing for the blog. A commitment of two times a week is minimal.
